DiscussionBridge Platform Migrator lets DiscussionBridge (DB) users change publishing platforms while keeping their existing Discourse conversations and connections to the published content.
Separate optional plugin
One tab for DB.
One for the move.
Platform Migrator is planned as a separate optional plugin that communicates with DiscussionBridge. It will appear in DB admin, with the operator using one tab for DiscussionBridge and another for the migration workflow.
This separation allows the migration tools to develop at their own pace and be used when needed.
The migration workflow, intake and continuing adapter roles, destination content conversion and importing, and the verified handoff of existing discussion relationships to the new platform are being defined.
